Sarah Poliseo

Co-Director of Life Always Facing Forward (LAFF)

For 17 years, Sarah’s hands were devoted to nurturing families through the sacred beginning of life as an LPN/OBT and Scrub Maternity Nurse. But everything changed when her sister Alyssa was diagnosed with cancer. Sarah walked every step of the journey by her side, through the fears, the fight, the faith and hope.

That journey did not break the two of them, it built a mission.

Now leaning into the future as Co-Director of Life Always Facing Forward, Sarah pours her heart and soul into co-creating a space so that no one has to walk through cancer alone. A devoted wife and mom of four, she brings the same fierce love and deep compassion that carried her sister forward to every survivor and family LAFF reaches.

Sarah’s life is firmly anchored in her faith which has guided her through both her years in nursing and her journey with LAFF. She believes deeply in the power of compassionate presence, seeing it not just as a role, but a calling.

Sarah is a passionate celiac disease advocate and has been serving as a volunteer camp nurse and counselor with Camp Celiac, a nonprofit organization, since 2009.

When she’s not working behind the scenes at LAFF, Sarah enjoys homeschooling her two youngest children, traveling, reading, snowmobiling, E2M Fitness Training, and spending time with loved ones, especially when LAFF adventures are involved!
